South Brent Village Hall Facilities

South Brent Village Hall has a variety of spaces equipped with different resources to deliver a wide variety of needs for the hirer.

Main Hall

  • Main hall with fully equipped stage
  • Sprung maple dance-floor with marked badminton court with stands and net available
  • 15.2 by 9.8 metres
  • Maximum seating theatre style 175
  • Maximum seating cafe style (no dance area) 140
  • Maximum seating cafe style (with dance area)110

Side Hall

  • A multi use smaller space measuring 7.5 meters by 6 meters, often used as a bar and/or for food serving.
  • The floor enables the space to also be used for activities like painting or ceramics courses.
  • It is left set up suitable for meetings and can accommodate up to 35 people depending on the seating arrangements

Committee Room

  • Small meeting room to accommodate 10-14 people around a table

  • Can be used as a coats room for events in the main hall

Conference / Meeting Room
Known as “The Stansbury Room”

  • Located on the 1st floor
  • The room is 10.3 meters by 5.3 meters
  • Equipped for meetings, conferences or training sessions.
  • Up to 40 people can be accommodated in a theatre style or up to 25 people in a meeting or training format.

Kitchen

  • Large and well equipped space with 6 hob cooker
  • Warm cupboard, Hot Water Boiler and Dishwasher
  • General use and special use crockery available.

Kitchenette

  • The Stansbury (1st Floor) Room has its own adjacent kichenette equipped with water boiler, fridge and washing up capacity.
  • It also has crockery to provide refreshments for the users of the room.

Lighting & Sound

  • The main hall is equipped with a high specification cinema and sound system capable of delivering BlueRay films with full Dolby surround sound.
  • The equipment is also set up to allow input from a laptop for ‘PowerPoint’ presentations plus a separate DVD player input if required. It is possible to switch between inputs through the projection system.
  • The main hall sound system also has a mixing desk with radio microphones and CD player plus an up to date hearing loop system.
  • The stage and lighting equipment has recently been upgraded to provide efficient and good quality lighting.
    The lighting and sound system can be controlled from a remote control room above the main hall for theatre productions.
  • The Stansbury (upper) Room is equipped with a screen, laptop and projector plus portable speakers and is also equipped with a hearing loop system.
Cloakrooms
  • The cloakrooms are modern and include a separate disabled facility which also has a baby changing capacity.

Storage

  • The Stansbury (Upper) Room includes 10 deep storage cupboards for hire.

  • There are other storage areas within the village hall facility. Those seeking a space to hire should contact the Booking Secretary.

Lift
  • There is a single wheelchair space lift for disabled access to the 1st floor
